Constructed on the foundations of Berlin’s oldest Church, the House of One brings together a church, synagogue, and mosque under one roof. Despite each faith having its own private sanctuary, they all share a common congregation space at the heart of the project. A space for exchange and coexistence.
The symbolism within each sanctuary is similar yet distinct – From the same family but with its own identity. The interior spaces are neutral, acting as a blank canvas for new dialogue and exchange to take place. At the top of the project rests a common observatory, a place for the sacred and secular to collectively rest, contemplate, and gaze at the Berlin skyline.
