Whilst guiding visitors across a spiritual journey of contemplation and reflection, the temple acts as a tool for dialogue between nature and community. The elevated design designates the process of transcendence and the reaching of a ‘higher power’. Across the temple, natural features such as water and light play central roles in creating a serene ambience. Within the temple, a skylight rests above the Garbha Griha (The womb of the temple), filling the space with divinity and clarity.
The story of Ganga (aligning with the four aims of life: Karma, Dharma, Kama, and Moksha) is carved across the temple’s stonework. Inscriptions of the divine. Beyond religious offerings, the temple comprises open-plan community spaces, encouraging dialogue between the sacred and secular. Like the river, sacredness and life flow throughout the temple.
